ManTech seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Windows Cloud Engineer to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an onsite position.
As a Windows Cloud Engineer, you will work with a highly skilled team of professionals focused on deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting compute assets in AWS. This position offers excellent opportunities for technical growth and advancement while supporting vital defense and national security projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Compose new Terraform code and edit existing code for the deployment of AWS resources
Implement an automation-first approach to manage AWS GovCloud resources, focusing on administration and configuration management
Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Windows Server instances and oversee their AMI lifecycle
Participate in Agile ceremonies as a member of a high-functioning Agile engineering team
Create, maintain, and update system documentation in accordance with project requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, or, six years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
2+ years of experience working in a AWS production environment, deploying, managing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud resources and applications
2+ years of experience working with RHEL OS and/or Windows Server, with proficiency in maintaining these systems
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages: Python, Bash, or PowerShell (strong preference for PowerShell)
Experience working with GitHub or similar version control systems
1+ years of experience with Terraform, including provisioning, managing, and automating infrastructure as code in cloud environments, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reliability across deployments
Possess a current entry-level certification from a Cloud Service Provider (AWS CCP, Microsoft AZ-900)
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Security+ CE
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess a current AWS Associate-level certification, such as the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified Developer – Associate
Experience working with Ansible and/or AWS Systems Manager for system configuration
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure in addition to AWS
Experience with Windows administration using PowerShell DSC
Experience managing Windows Domains, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
The ability to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time while working at a computer or other office equipment
Ability to move around the office to access files and office machinery and communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients
Occasional movement around the facility to collaborate with teams and participate in meetings
