ManTech seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented F-35 Weapon Systems Expert to join our team in Eglin, FL. This is an onsite position
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide team leadership for the Contract Support Services (CSS) Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Full System Development team (FSD) team in the development of technical documentation
Report to the Weaponeering Integration Naval Aviation Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS)/NATIP (WINN) Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) on schedule, costs, and performance parameters
Coordinate FSD development progress with the Airworthiness Office
Research, develop, and deliver new or updated flight clearance products, including Interim Flight Clearance (IFC) and FSD modules
Coordinate aircrew mission planning efforts related to Stock Control Systems (SCS) updates and Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Software
Collect and monitor FSD change requests and assess cost and schedule impacts
Ensure coordination between F-35A/B/C permanent flight clearance systems and computational flight clearance systems
Minimum Qualifications
BS or BA in engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science, physics, or a related scientific discipline
At least twelve (12) years of recent professional experience with F-35 A/B/C aircraft tactical systems employment is required. Candidate for this position shall be a graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) or Marine Aviation Weapons Training Squadron-I (MAWTS-1) Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI)
Prior experience in the development of F-18 Naval Aviation Technical Information Product/Navy Tactical Reference Publication (NATIP) products and AIR 4.0M Airworthiness certification processes
Prior experience facilitating the development of airworthiness and safety of flight products
Prior Program Management experience in execution of S/S/P constraints
Prior Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force fighter pilot experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
F-35 pilot, Weapon Systems Officer (WSO), Naval Flight Office (NFO), or equivalent of the platform of interest
Experience with aircrew mission planning efforts and JMPS Software
Strong technical writing and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively with Fleet aircrew and various Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and other command processes
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
