Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Vibration Analyst to join our team in Silverdale, WA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conduct vibrational analysis of systems and equipment of submarine and/or surface vessel related equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex vibrational, electrical and electronic problems using specialized tools and analysis equipment
Analyze system performance and conduct tests to identify faults and malfunctions
Collaborate with a team of technicians and engineers to develop and implement effective repair strategies
Follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Document all maintenance and repair activities, including test results, repairs performed, and parts used
Stay updated with the latest advancements in submarine monitoring systems and technologies
Write, edit, and review product integration and testing documentation to streamline production of monitoring systems
Perform moderately complex technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, proto-type models or specialized test equipment
Conduct engineering/development tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in general research work. Diagnoses and corrects electronic circuitry malfunctions. Assists in the development of vibration analysis methodology
Provide design details and recommends modifications to engineering designs as needed.
May prepare instructional guides for repairing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment and systems
Performs other duties as assigned
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Physics
Minimum of 6 years of hands-on working with U.S. Navy ships including experience with rotating machinery and vibration analysis
Possess an established, demonstrated track-record of project management and successful task completion to include coordinating U.S. Navy ship operations with a test and evaluation program agenda
Travel up to 10%
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Work in confined spaces and challenging environments, as required for submarine maintenance and repair
