Description & Requirements
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented VMware Administrator to join our team onsite in Norfolk, Virginia. This position is onsite.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, deploy, and configure VMware vSphere servers
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware infrastructure performance
Manage VMware vCenter Server, including resource allocation, and performance tuning
Plan and execute VMware ESXi host upgrades, patches, and security enhancements
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware infrastructure with storage, network, and other systems
Develop and maintain documentation for VMware infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT teams as needed
Up to 25% travel required or as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in managing VMware vSphere environments
Proficiency in VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, and ESXi administration
Strong understanding and experience with virtualization concepts, technologies, and best practices
Experience with storage, networking, and server hardware technologies
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
