ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in Doral, FL.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create and maintain technical documentation for software applications, systems and processes, including user manuals, system guides, release notes, and knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and understand complex technical concepts.
Translate technical information into clear and concise documentation that is easily understandable by end-users.
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all technical documentation produced.
Organize and structure information effectively to facilitate easy navigation and retrieval of documentation.
Review and edit existing documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, and readability.
Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and make recommendations for process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, information technology, computer science, or related field of study
Masters degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
PhD degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience.
4+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the IT industry
Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting DoD programs.
Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other IT Service Management Frameworks
Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) .
Clearance Requirements:
Must possess a current/active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
