    Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Editor/Writer to join our team in the Frederick, MD. Location.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style
    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., leadership, engineers, and support staff) to assist with report development and documentation for all project phases

    • Assists with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for internal and external audiences, including user guides, documentation, technical specifications, and knowledge base articles
    • Researches, organizes, and synthesizes technical information from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • Works closely with subject matter experts to gather necessary information, validate technical content, and review products for accuracy, quality, readability, and completeness

    • Translates technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand instructions and tutorials
    • Reviews and edits documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards
    • Manages documentation updates and revisions in a timely manner to reflect product changes and improvements
    • Continuously improve documentation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • A bachelor's degree
    • A minimum of (4) four years of experience as a technical writer, editor, or similar role
    • Proficiency in authoring tools such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Familiarity with documentation platforms (e.g., SharePoint)
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex technical concepts
    • Strong organizational skills regarding processes, products, and people
    • Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably SAFe
    • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with a keen attention to details

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • SAFe certifications such as: SAFe for Teams or SAFe Agilist

    Clearance Requirements:

    • Must be a U.S. citizen
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
    • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
    • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet
    • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
