Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Direction Letter (TDL) Manager to join our team in the DMV area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages the cost, schedule, and performance of large Technical Direction Letter (TDL) projects to develop and deliver digital transformation, modernization, and modifications in accordance with the approved Technical Direction Plan (TDP).
Provide recommendations, status briefings, and other formal and informal feedback to management on all project aspects and technical risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and options to improve program integration.
Plans, organizes, and coordinates activities with Functional Specialists, including contracting, engineering, program control, configuration and data management, test, and logistics operations support.
Develops, executes, and monitors risk management strategies to address areas of concern or potential gaps, and apply systems engineering principles, techniques, services, and practices for a disciplined approach to meeting ICON TDL projects.
Coordinates with stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical technical data for inclusion in TDL planning to support MESP requirements, establishing processes for accessing, updating, and distributing technical direction as required by the MESP.
Supports system planning and market analysis and provide technical subject matter expertise on engineering documents in the program, project, and Systems Engineering Management Plans. This includes reviewing documents, conducting assessments, and providing briefings. They support program-level review boards, including Engineering, Configuration, Risk, and Test Review Boards. They give Project Status Reviews and presentations to accountable sponsors and Project Governance Meetings.
- Reports to the Mission Engagement Regional Manager III, monitors project work quality, and supervises and mentors subordinates, while also coordinating cost and schedule issues with both the respective Regional Site Manager and the Business Operations Director, when appropriate
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience.
Bachelors Degree
Four (4) years of additional experience is required with a High School diploma; two (2) years of additional experience is required with an Associate’s degree
A Master’s degree may be considered in lieu of two (2) years of experience; a Ph.D. can be considered in lieu of four (4) years of experience
Five (5) years of position-specific experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant industry standard certifications such as Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or equivalent certification.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
