Mantech seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD.
This role supports a critical effort delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities to a global workforce executing vital missions in defense of our Nation. You will contribute to the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization that oversees MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the core platform for all Enterprise users. As part of the Data Center & Compute Services team, you will collaborate with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to deliver mission-enabling EIT services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with defined architectures (e.g., DoDAF, SOA)
Assist in the development of system and functional requirements, allocating them to hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components
Develop system design solutions that fulfill functional analyses and system requirements
Contribute to systems engineering documentation including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents
Review and provide input to program and contract-level work breakdown structures (WBS), work packages, and the Integrated Master Plan (IMP)
Minimum Qualifications:
Twelve (12) years of experience as a System Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma and twenty (20) years of experience
Experience working in cloud environments, including Azure or AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automation and scripting
Prior DevOps experience
Proficiency in Python and PowerShell
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or BICEP
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
