ManTech seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area.
In this role, you will support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, including the management of system infrastructure and related processes. You will coordinate with customers and service teams to support system deployments, moves, and removals across Government Data Centers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Attend and lead meetings with customers and service teams (Deployments, Engineering, Networks, etc.) to coordinate the install, move, and removal of equipment within Government Data Centers
Maintain tracking spreadsheets in Excel to report on 60 systems transitioning out of Government spaces, including scheduling, timelines, and network connectivity dependencies
Use the ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing system to monitor service team work efforts (CHTASKs) from inception through closure
Submit ServiceNow and NLYTE tickets, and PSCs as needed on behalf of customers
Manage an Access database that tracks all equipment within the organization
Acquire preliminary engineering documentation from customers/system owners for engineering review
Provide bi-weekly reports to customer management regarding room closure progress and any delays
Communicate daily with customers and teams via email to coordinate system move, removal, and installation activities
Minimum Qualifications:
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Experience using the ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing system
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
Experience with the NLYTE ticketing system
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
