We are currently seeking a motivated Systems Engineer with an active Secret clearance to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. This is an On-Site position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) on the AEGIS and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) surface ship program.

  • Provide assistance to the Aegis In-service Baseline Manager through the performance of the following tasks:

  • Update and maintain existing production and installation processes and procedures.

  • Perform quality control on procedures and completed work.

  • Oversee computer program production, testing, and installation on surface combatant ships.

  • Manage computer program media load cycles and verification.

  • Assist in resolving any computer program build or installation anomalies.

  • Develop and maintain build and installation documentation.

  • Implement new technology within the build and installation processes.

  • Develop presentations as required.

  • Support process definition, improvement, and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalent Degree (GED)

  • Eight (8) or more years of maintenance/operations experience with the Navy’s AEGIS Combat System.

  • Ability to travel within the continental United States and to overseas locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree  in engineering, computer science, or another associated discipline

  • Experience with UNIX and LINUX operating systems.

  • Experience in software configuration management (CM) production and installation processes.

  • Experience in quality control processes.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.

  • Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources.
