Description & Requirements
ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. You will be responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with Systems Engineering.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
Guides system development, testing and implementation.
Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Basic Qualifications:
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Bachelor’s degree, or 5 years or additional experience in lieu of degree, in a technical discipline like computer science, information sciences or engineering required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with intelligence community Compliance would be nice to have
Use task tracking and documentation software (e.g., Confluence and JIRA).
Customer interaction experience
Management, creation and execution of systems engineering plans (functional and technical), capabilities documents, requirements documentation and interface control documentation
Coordination and resolution of action items from Agile Scrums, Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination
Demonstrated experience with capabilities design and evaluation, systems budgeting, physical architectures and developing systems evaluation criteria
Reviewing and providing input to program and contract work breakdown structure (WBS), work packages and the integrated master plan (IMP)
Deriving lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements that describe in detail the functions that a system component must fulfill, and ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unique, unambiguous, realizable, and verifiable
Security Clearance Requirements:
Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
