ManTech is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Systems Engineer III in Ft. Meade, MD.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Systems Engineer III focuses on DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation to perform requirements analysis, including decomposition of high-level requirements into artifacts assignable during Agile program increments and sprints.
They are responsible for applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement.
They interact with ICON project teams regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
They communicate with other Technical Direction Plan (TDL) project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives.
They are responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area.
They contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as Systems Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents.
The Systems Engineer III is a senior role with extensive experience ensuring regulatory and requirements compliance of IT systems.
The Systems Engineer III supervise and mentor subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related discipline.
5 years of systems engineering experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in STEM or related discipline.
Relevant industry standard certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP),
Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) or OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional–Advanced (OCSMP-A) certifications.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
Security clearance requirement:
Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and/or maintain a polygraph.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
