ManTech seeks a motivated and career-oriented Systems Administrator with Linux expertise to join our team in Laurel, MD.
You will be part of a dedicated team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce that supports a wide range of national defense missions. This role directly supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization—the foundation of all Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) for MPO.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2/3 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
Identify and resolve performance and capacity issues in Linux systems, and support hardware-related problem resolution and dispatching
Deliver detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
Configure, script, and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems
Install operating system software, troubleshoot system issues, maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Minimum Qualifications:
Fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Five (5) additional years of System Administrator experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Scanboy
Experience using LatteART
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
The candidate should be able to move, carry, and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer desks
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
