ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux System Administrator, to join our team in Hanover, MD.  The team delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. This effort is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO’s backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

Responsibilities Included but are not limited to:

  • Will be responsible for Systems Administration for CNOS labs in a Help Desk capacity and work closely with CNOS labs in other locations.  Responsible for maintaining and managing accounts, profiles, and queue coordinate tickets for all developers and developer requests.

  • Will maintain both Linux and Windows accounts while assisting other lab managers within the domain architecture to include racking, stacking, loading, and configuring systems (workstations and servers).

  • Responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining a secure server/system.  Will analyze, design, architect and manage hardware and network systems.

  • Will performs installation, refresh, and modernization of servers and system components and related services, remotely and on-site.

  • Responsible for documenting configuration of computers, networking devices and various peripheral equipment.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in technical discipline is required.

  • Shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ​​Experience deploying, upgrading, or maintaining servers and systems

  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems in support of Tacacs+ and Syslog

  • Experience with active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and LDAP networking concepts

  • Experience with cabling, racking, and stacking equipment

  • Familiar with Jira ticketing system.

  • Understanding of networking components

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.     

Physical Requirements:  

  • Bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, light work up to 20 lbs., reaching, repetitive motions, sedentary work, walking, working with data, ability to handle stress & work under pressure, ability to use MS Office, ability to use a PC, analytical or critical thinking skills, interpersonal & people skills, leadership skills, listening skills, multi-tasking ability, oral & written communication skills, organizational skills.


The projected compensation range for this position is $162,600.00-$289,500.00.
