ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Engineer to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. Join a new and exciting opportunity to protect national security and provide premier mission focused IT services for a dynamic and growing program. In this role, you will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems and manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
10%-20% CONUS/OCONUS Travel, be able to rack and stack hardware, read and understand a CRL and be able to cable a rack based off that documentation. Troubleshoot various hardware issues, coordinate and work with multiple organizations during a TDY, be able to manage multiple hardware related SNOW tickets and keep the customer updated on ticket statuses.
Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems
Plan all phases of hardware projects to include schedules, budgets, and maturation of technical performance parameters.
Perform engineering review of customer submitted deployment packages to identify gaps and resolve and resolve any inconsistencies.
Work closely with the system engineering team to develop and validate hardware drawing packages
Complete required documentation to obtain approvals for shipping equipment to their pre-staging area. Keep the customer up to date on all statuses (MDAT’s TOES)
Perform immediate changes to systems, maintenance, sustainment, and replacement of failed hardware (Break/Fix support)
Develop schedules and logistical strategies for all managed equipment
Organize and direct hardware installations across multiple sites
Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces
Minimum Qualifications:
20 years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading systems engineering efforts is required.
A bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related disciple from an accredited college or university is required.
5 years of additional system engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
