ManTech seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented System Engineer to join our team located in the Ft. Meade, MD area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyze user needs, concept of operations, and architectures to develop system requirements.
Analyze system requirements, evaluate alternative designs, and conduct feasibility studies.
Develop technical documentation.
Guide system development and planning and prepare system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Interact with the Government regarding problems, issues or conflicts.
Support verification and monitor the technical quality.
Utilize Linux, Kubernetes, Ansible/Salt, Windows
Minimum Qualifications:
14+ years of systems engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
19 years of systems engineering experience with Associate’s degree may be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in architecting, deploying and general administration of Splunk to include infrastructure planning, data collection and comprehension, development and integration, configuring data inputs and forwarders, data management, creating/managing user accounts, and general troubleshooting and monitoring.
Experience with Cloud
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky, Ubuntu, Windows
Experience with Ansible/Salt
Experience with Bash/Python
Experience with Git/GitLab
Experience with VMware/KVM
Experience with Infrastructure/Hardware Knowledge
Experience with Networking
Experience with Docker/Podman/Kubernetes
Experience with Structured data such as JSON/YAML/XML
Clearance Requirement:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Poly
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.
