ManTech is seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator II to join our team in Fort Meade, MD.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
Supporting upgrades to computer components and software, management of virtual servers, and integration of automation processes.
Supporting troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
Supporting documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
Supporting regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Supporting desktop and helpdesk efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Supporting capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure.
Functioning as an experienced administrator with digital engineering and possessing a solid foundational understanding of digital engineering methodologies.
Taking direction from more senior personnel.
Engaging and sharing work with other System Administrator IIs.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an IT or related discipline and four years of professional experience.
DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Administration or Engineering.
Relevant industry standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, or VMWare.
Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt or Puppet.
Clearance Requirements:
Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain & maintain a Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
