Description & Requirements

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux System Administrator to join our team in the Laurel, Maryland location.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration. 
  • Configure and manage LINUX and Solaris operating systems.
  • Installs/loads operating systems software.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components.
  • Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in technical discipline is required. Five Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ability to troubleshoot higher level problems and resolve complex technical issues where documentation is either lacking or non-existent.
  • Experience in implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access is desired.
  • Understanding networking components is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current active TS/SCI w/Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, light work up to 20 lbs., reaching, repetitive motions, sedentary work, walking, working with data, ability to handle stress & work under pressure, ability to use MS Office, ability to use a PC, analytical or critical thinking skills, interpersonal & people skills, leadership skills, listening skills, multi-tasking ability, oral & written communication skills, organizational skills.

The projected compensation range for this position is $121,800.00-$204,100.00.
