ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Solutions Architect to join our team in Herndon, VA.  We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to support the design and delivery of a secure and scalable technology solution that aligns with customer objectives and federal compliance requirements.  The ideal candidate will combine technical depth with customer empathy to drive innovation and success in support of one of our key National Intelligence Customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather technical and business requirements and translate them into robust architectural solutions.

  • Design cloud-native architectures that meet mission needs, federal compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA), and security requirements.

  • Develop technical artifacts including architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and whitepapers in support of program objectives.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers throughout the solution lifecycle—from discovery through delivery.

  • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure architectural alignment and delivery of secure, high-performance solutions.

  • Guide solution development using modern frameworks and tools

  • Stay up to date with federal IT trends, mandates, and compliance frameworks to ensure continuous alignment with evolving customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional IT experience in lieu of degree

  • 6+ years of experience in IT architecture, systems engineering, or enterprise technical leadership.

  • Experience supporting U.S. Intelligence Community customers.

  • Experience with architecting and deploying solutions in air-gapped cloud environments, preferably AWS.

  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity and compliance standards (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA, etc.).

  • Ability to work remotely and travel on-site for meetings in Northern Virginia as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Oracle Architect certification

  • Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles

  • Experience working in DoD or IC agency-specific environments

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office
    machinery, etc.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may
    involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in
    these situations.
