ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Belcamp, MD. This is an onsite position.
The Software Engineer will work in support of the Army for the Network Modernization & Mission Network Technical Service Support program (NetMod). NetMod sets forth the work efforts required to provide product technical support services for systems and equipment being produced, fielded, modified or supported by PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network of the Project Manager (PM) Tactical Network (TN) of the Program Executive Office for Command Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T). This support may also include future systems and equipment that is acquired for the Army to maintain its technological advantage.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in the integration and support of Data/Voice/Video/Telephony/NetOps and satellite systems.
Contribute to Post-Deployment Software Support (PDSS), Post Production Software Support, and Training Services, as required.
Perform software integration and testing for each platform with new integrated software.
Support the evaluation of software.
Integrate required changes of system hardware and software with hardware and software communications platforms.
Prepare and support compiling and delivering plans and artifacts such as, Software Test Plans, Software Version Build Procedures, and Software Version Readme files.
Provide software scans using current Army Best Business Practices for scanning and remediation.
Provide support to software/firmware update releases, which include IAVA fixes, anti-virus updates, software anomaly resolution, COTS/GOTS software updates, software configuration changes, RMF artifacts, and system planning data updates as required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science
10+ years of relevant experience. 5+ years in the Department of Defense supporting major weapon systems software development highly preferred.
Must be familiar with program languages such as: C++, Ada, C#.
Must be familiar with testing methodologies for embedded systems, integration testing, and systems-level testing.
Must have a thorough knowledge and experience in the identification, storage, and distribution of software documentation in accordance with applicable DoD Standards and Army Regulations
Must be thoroughly familiar with media and documentation handling, identification, storage, and distribution requirements.
Must be familiar with program languages such as: C++, Ada, C#."
Practical experience with scripting languages such as Python, Power shell, and Bash.
Must be able to obtain DoD 8570/8410 IAT Level II.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding the different phases of software development, from requirement gathering to deployment
Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) like VxWorks, FreeRTOS
Experience with hardware interfacing (analog/digital converters, sensors, actuators)
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms to optimize code performance
Experience with designing software modules with high availability and fault tolerance
Security Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required and must have a current/active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
