ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

  • Conducting analysis of user needs and developing solutions by applying computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis techniques

  • Updating software and enhancing existing software capabilities.

  • Working with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.

  • Maintaining databases within an application area.

  • Working individually and in coordination with the database development group as a team.

  • May be responsible for oversight of lower-level developers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline and 10 years of experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.

  • Experience working with one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or Python.

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and/or updating software associated with Navy weapons.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance in order to perform work on this contract.

Physical Requirements:

  • Tasking is primarily computer based. 

  • The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods.


The projected compensation range for this position is $102,200.00-$169,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.  ManTech’s benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Short Term and Long Term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
