MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Shop Foreman to join our vehicle sustainment team in Powidz, Poland. The selected candidate will provide maintenance support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preventive maintenance on assigned vehicles (oil changes, greasing, and inspection of hoses, belts, fluids, and wiring).
Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors (disassembling and overhauling engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, and other assemblies).
Replaces worn or broken parts, aligns wheels, adjusts brakes, tightens bearings, tunes engines, and performs minor body work.
Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations and maintains knowledge of processes and equipment; ensuring that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as ensuring paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
Troubleshoots issues that arise and notifies maintenance department of equipment problems and provides formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training to contractor and unit personnel.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
Experience in mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
Experience with GCSS-A.
Experience in simultaneous maintenance, modification and repair projects on a variety of maintenance actions, tasks or repairs.
Must hold a current and active passport, ensuring a minimum of one year of validity from start date and the ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
High School Diploma or GED and must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with: Power Control Modules (PCMs); Digital Vehicle Distribution Boxes (DVDBs); Gun Control Units (GCUs); Hull/Turret Power Boxes
Knowledge of: Diesel engines and hydro-electrical transmissions; Digital control modules and navigation systems; Fire suppression systems and turret subsystems.
Prior leadership as a Battalion Motor Sergeant or equivalent (100+ personnel oversight).
Experience as a Field Service Representative supporting high-tempo operations.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
Must be able to work in high noise areas.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
