ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Ship System Analyst to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This is an Onsite position at the customer’s facility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in the development of the Aircraft Carrier design and modernization plan as it relates to Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence (C5I) systems and other matters as assigned by the Staff’s Modernization Engineer and the Modernization Manager.
Support analysis of Ship Change Documents initiated into the Navy Data Environment applicable to Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) aircraft carriers prior to entry into the Training Air Wing Four (CFT-4) Entitled Process hierarchical decision making process to ensure submission is valid and not duplicated.
Support assessment of Ship Change Documents for benefit and assist in developing Recommended Change Packages to ensure that CNAF’s priorities are addressed.
Support technical assessments of Ship Change Documents to ensure technical merit and to identify any ship integration issues that would affect its considerations, or in conjunction with other changes
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in operation, maintenance, repair and test of naval shipboard equipment and systems
5+ years experience with aircraft carriers and their associated Battle Group
Familiarity with naval ship systems and U.S. Navy maintenance procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with Ship Change Documents (SCD) in Navy Data Environment (NDE)
Experience working directly with NAVSEA, Regional Maintenance Centers, or shipyards
Clearance Requirements:
An active Secret clearance is required to perform the duties of this position.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Needs to occasionally move about onboard ships, including climbing ladders and accessing tight spaces
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve briefings or technical discussions
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
