ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior VDI Architect to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and develop Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, including virtual machines, networking, and storage
Establish technical standards for VDI environments, enforce architectural standards, and identify areas for improvement
Manage and maintain VDI environments to ensure they are secure and perform well
Perform troubleshooting to identify and fix issues that affect VDI performance
Optimize VDI solutions, by focusing on properly allocating resources, to improve the performance and scalability of the solutions
Implement security measures for remote desktop services and user access
Build, migrate and test AWS & Azure cloud environments and integrations
Basic Qualifications:
9+ years of diversified experience applying multiple infrastructure technologies and working in more than one area of infrastructure technology (e.g., VDI, desktop, cloud, network, servers, storage, etc.) in large scale systems integrations.
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Science, technology, engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
Experience with IT desktop user-facing services within National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
Experience with developing, architectural design and implementation of O365 solutions aligned with business objectives
Knowledge on Azure Identity Management, VDI design and implementation and VDI solutions both on prem and cloud native
Linux/Unix systems administration
Windows Server Administration
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degrees and certifications (e.g., MS, Security+, CISSP, CCIE, ITILv4)
Cloud professional certifications (e.g., AWS, MS Azure Cloud platform)
Citrix certifications
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active/current TS/SCI clearance w/ polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.”
