ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior UX Specialist to join our team in Doral, FL. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The UX Specialist III leads the UX design process from user research and analysis to the creation of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
They champion user-centered design, ensuring that usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction are top priorities throughout the development lifecycle
They collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, brainstorm solutions, and seamlessly integrate UX design into the development process
They create and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency and scalability across all products and platforms
They plan and execute usability testing sessions to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement
They stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring that all user interfaces adhere to accessibility standards and guidelines (eg, Section 508, WCAG)
They also mentor and provide guidance to Junior UX Designers, fostering their professional development and growth within the field
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field or 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree
Significant experience in UX design, with a proven track record of delivering successful user-centered solutions.
Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Proficiency in UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD), prototyping tools, and user research methodologies.
Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Understanding of DoD security regulations and best practices for designing secure user interfaces.
Strong understanding of human-centered design (HCD) principles and methodologies.
Deep understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) principles and their application in UX design.
Knowledge of human factors engineering (HFE) considerations in UX design, including ergonomics, cognitive psychology, and accessibility.
Proficiency in user research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and A/B testing.
Experience designing accessible user interfaces that comply with accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., Section 508, WCAG).
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
Deep knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, with experience in designing accessible user interfaces. Advanced knowledge of HCI and HFE principles, with experience applying them to complex UX design challenges.
Familiarity with emerging UX technologies and trends, such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and voice user interfaces (VUI).
Experience with designing user interfaces for military applications or systems.
Relevant UX certifications (e.g., Certified Usability Analyst (CUA), Human Factors International (HFI) Certified Professional).
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
