ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Technical Director to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. This role will be onsite. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define program strategy in partnership with the customer - lead the team through transformation and fulfillment of the strategy.

  • Provide lead direction across broad spectrum of technical domains from well-established areas like modeling and simulation to potential experimentation with newly emerging capabilities like quantum

  • Lead assessment and recommendations of tools and support processes for collecting and analyzing widely disparate information

  • Interpret and anticipate Government needs and translate them into actionable technical plans

  • Support a continuous improvement process by providing recommendations on improving products, services, and processes.

  • Manage, direct, and allocate resources to ensure on-time delivery of top-quality managed services.

  • Research, cost-justify, recommend, and establish current and future hardware and software architectures for all aspects of IT, from networks to operating systems and shared software services.

  • Enable system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications to meet project requirements while maintaining interoperability with existing sponsor network(s).

  • Perform a variety of network engineering tasks and activities concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, and the be called on to troubleshoot unique or complex problems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or another related technical or business field.

  • 12+ years of experience managing a portfolio of IT projects encompassing machine learning, artificial intelligence, mobile IT, cloud computing, biometrics, virtual networking, software application integration, big data, and cyber security, with at least three years in support of Special Operations mission support.

  • 8+ years of experience leading teams utilizing Agile Software Development methodologies to design, integrate and operationalize intelligence or Mission Command and processing, exploitation, and dissemination web services that have been certified and accredited following the Government’s RMF, with at least three years in support of Special Operations mission support.

  • An approved certification to the DoD 8570.01-Manual (minimum Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III)

  • Experience supporting large scale complex technical programs and/or portfolios within the IT space

  • Experience leading and facilitating team meetings and contributing ideas for improving current research initiatives

  • Ability to engage in substantive strategic discussion with senior government information technology stakeholders, such as the Chief Data Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Information Officer

  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical vision in large complex project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science/Engineering degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, System Engineering, Network Engineering, or related technical field.

  • Agile certification from a recognized certification authority.

  • Knowledge of DoD IA regulations, standards, guidelines, and RMF applicable to communication activities and DOD acquisition such as the DoD Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Adoption Strategy and DoD AI Ethical Principles.

  • Experience collaborating with counterparts in other DoD and governmental organizations.

Clearance Requirements 

  • Must have a current/ active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% 

  •  Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  •  The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
