ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. This is a Hybrid position with 1 or 2 days onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:  

  • Support the AWS GovCloud environments
  • Responsible for installation, configuration and maintenance of the servers and Commercial Software packages
  • Perform software installations, maintain system documentation, manage server and software configurations, establish and enforce procedures, monitor system health, collect performance metrics and participate in capacity planning
  • provide automation scripts to support the large number of
  • Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
  • Troubleshoot performance issues utilizing root-cause analysis and address system issues

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience required
  • Experience with managing and patching Operating Systems
  • Experience with DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) implementations
  • Experience with COTS package upgrades and software deployments
  • Proficiency in Red Hat operating systems
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Knowledge of AWS operations in support of services like EC2, S3, VPC, ELB, Autoscaling Groups, Route 53, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Lambda, SNS and RDS
  • Security+ certification or equivalent certification for DoD 8570 compliance is required

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Team lead with project management experience such as project planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, DNS and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, RedShift, others)
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Jenkins, GIT/Build/Deploy, Ansible, Chef or Puppet

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance with SSBI is required
