ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior System Administrator to join our team in Fort Meade, MD. This position is part of a team that provides engineering and Information Technology services to provision, manage, sustain, innovate, modernize, refresh, reengineer, and secure the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
Management of IT system infrastructure and any processes related to those systems
Providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices
Providing problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
Configuration and management of Linux operating systems and installing/loading operating system software
Administering and securing network switching and routing devices
Managing and maintaining network security through the use of access controls and path management
Implementing, troubleshooting IT systems.
Performing daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
Providing Tier 2 / Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
Optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
Configuring and managing Linux operating systems and installing/loading operating system software.
Implementing operating systems enhancements improving reliability and performance.
Providing detailed analysis and feedback to customers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience or 15 years of total experience supporting the Intelligence Community in enterprise infrastructure-related programs
Security+ Certification.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
