ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior System Administrator to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is onsite.
In this role, the Senior Systems Administrator will support a secure Windows-based Information System and will assist and support the installation, operation, and maintenance of all current and future Information Systems within ManTech.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and monitor systems to detect intrusions and enforce IT security protocols
Provide expert technical support, resolving complex issues and mentoring junior administrators
Plan and execute system upgrades, manage backups, and ensure infrastructure resilience
Monitor system performance and capacity, analyze trends, and recommend enhancements
Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, ensuring alignment with industry standards
Support project planning and implementation while ensuring compliance with security regulations and best practices
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
5+ years of professional experience working with computer systems, specifically Windows 10 or 11, software applications, network administration, and troubleshooting
ACAS vulnerability management experience, i.e., using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) for vulnerability scanning and remediation, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards
Advanced Hardware Optimization experience, specifically diagnosing and optimizing system hardware (e.g., CPU, memory, storage), beyond basic BIOS/UEFI and laptop hardware knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced expertise in developing PowerShell scripts to automate system maintenance tasks (e.g., log analysis, patch deployment), extending beyond basic scripting
Basic knowledge of implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including security control assessments and authorization package development, complementing STIG and patching skills
Foundational proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting virtual environments (e.g., VMware vSphere), enhancing basic virtual machine setup and operation
Robust capability in managing Linux-based tools or applications within Windows environments, enhancing system interoperability and complementing partitioning and logical volume management expertise
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication.
