We are currently seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team located in the Ft. Meade, MD area. As a member of our team, you will provide assistance to our esteemed customer. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving intricate software systems in accordance with specified requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.

  • Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.

  • Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the  development environment.

  • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience with Software engineering

  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, Custom Scripts, and CSS (ex Customer Entry Portals)

  • Experience with ServiceNow Web Services (ex REST) with the ability to integrate external source systems into ServiceNow

  • Experience with Server Linux O/S Administration/Maintenance.

  • Experience with platform upgrades/patch application

  • Experience with DevOps scripting tools

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with jQuery, AngularJS, JSON, and Jelly

  • Experience with workflow automation and custom application development

  • Experience with design and implementations of ServiceNow integrations and interfaces with 3rd party applications and data sources using extensible markup language (XML), Email web services, JAVA DB connectivity, LDAP, REST, ODBC, MariaDB, and Excel

  • Experience with troubleshooting systems for Tier(s) 1-3

  • Experience with learning new processes, systems and integrations with ServiceNow

  • Experience with creating and configuring business rules, UI policies/actions, client/server-side scripts, script includes, and ACLs

  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile Board 2.0 development methodologies

  • Experience with working with team development policies to migrate data to update production systems

  • Experience with contributing to the coordination of application and platform upgrades.

  • Experience with monitoring the health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and applications

  • Experience with writing clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation

  • Experience with System Design, CONOPS, Use Case diagrams, and topology diagrams

Security Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph  


The projected compensation range for this position is $109,100.00-$181,100.00.
