MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Program Manager to join our team onsite in Lexington Park, MD. This is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.

The Senior Program Manager will play a pivotal role with high visibility, responsible for orchestrating a complex, multi-disciplinary program at the cutting edge of advanced military training activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • In partnership with our stakeholders, define the program vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap. Translate complex technical requirements and business needs into a coherent and executable plan

  • Drive the end-to-end execution of the program lifecycle. Manage scope, schedule, budget, and resources for large-scale, interdependent projects

  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks and dependencies

  • Orchestrate and lead a diverse, cross-functional team of [e.g., hardware engineers, software developers, research scientists, QA, operations]

  • Foster a collaborative environment and ensure seamless communication and alignment across all teams

  • Serve as the primary interface for the program. Clearly and concisely communicate program status, risks, and key decisions to all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to C-suite executives

  • While not expected to be the deepest technical expert, you must possess the technical acumen to understand core challenges, facilitate trade-off discussions, and ensure that solutions are technically sound and scalable

  • Own and manage a multimillion-dollar program budget. Conduct resource planning and allocation to ensure program objectives are met efficiently. Manage relationships with key vendors, contractors, and strategic partners

  • Champion and implement best practices in program management. Continuously refine processes to improve program predictability, efficiency, and quality of outcomes in a highly technical and often ambiguous environment

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a technical or business discipline

  • 10+ years of experience in defense acquisition, with a strong background in NAVAIR and/or NAWCAD program management, engineering, or flight test

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and serve as a liaison between technical, acquisition, and operational communities

  • Weapon School and/or Test Pilot School Graduate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operational experience as a pilot in a tactical aircraft platform, such as the F/A-18

  • Direct experience working within the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD)

  • Experience with advanced weapons, sensors, and software integration programs

  • Experience with Navy SAP programs

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current and active Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $156,200.00-$281,500.00.
