ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Procurement Manager to join our team in the Tysons Corner or Reston, VA location. This is an onsite position.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Warehouse, Global Shipping & Logistics Lead to purchase, receive, track, ship, inventory, and complete financial reconciliations for all program equipment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing the purchasing, receiving, tracking, shipping of all program equipment, performing financial reconciliations and supporting program deliverables as required, and supporting inventorying of equipment as required
Researching cost-effective purchase and delivery options for equipment
Working with both contractor and Sponsor personnel to procure equipment using both contractor and Sponsor systems and procurement channels as required
Working with program management and Sponsor personnel to secure funding and required approvals
Tracking orders with vendors/suppliers and completing appropriate documentation
Addressing order fulfillment issues as they arise
Coordinating with logistics/warehouse staff on incoming equipment deliveries as well as outgoing international deliveries
Providing shipping schedules and alternatives for faster and/or cheaper shipping
Communicating status and information to the Sponsor and documenting appropriately
Recommending process improvements and cost-saving measures for potential approval and implementation
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience procuring equipment through both contractor and Sponsor channels, or performing similar activities combining project management and financial skill sets
Strong experience procuring similar volumes of equipment (multiple millions of dollars annually) and shipping equipment worldwide
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active/current TS/SCI w/ polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
