ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Procurement Analyst to join our team in Stafford, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintains accurate and compliant audit files, entering and tracking procurements in corporate purchasing systems and material trackers.
Reconciles p-card transactions monthly and interfaces with suppliers, customers, and requesters to manage project timelines and test support.
Tracks delivery dates of procured items, providing timely updates to customers and proactively managing expectations.
Develops Excel spreadsheets to support procurement and project leads with data analysis and milestone tracking for data-driven decision-making.
Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers to optimize procurement costs and efficiency.
Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for goods, services, and supplies, adhering to all relevant regulations and policies.
Solves complex procurement problems, impacts various team activities, explains sensitive information, and provides direction and mentorship to subordinate staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS in field necessary to assume Senior Procurement Analyst duties or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
9+ years of experience with 5+ years in position specific Senior Procurement Analyst experience.
Experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing procurement activities. Deep understanding of procurement principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management. Knowledge of procurement regulations and policies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze procurement data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and resolve procurement issues.
Ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience leading large DoD procurement activities.
Experience with Government procurement regulations and procedures.
Knowledge of strategic sourcing and category management.
Experience with e-procurement systems and tools.
Familiarity with contract law and legal aspects of procurement.
Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)).
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
