ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Network Area Storage (NAS) Engineer to join our team in Columbia, Maryland.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage systems, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities across multiple data centers and physical sites.

  • Configure, monitor, and optimize storage solutions to meet performance, capacity, and scalability requirements while minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.

  • Perform regular infrastructure assessments, updates, and patches on storage systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance with industry best practices and organizational standards.

  • Troubleshoot storage-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and data access problems, utilizing root cause analysis techniques.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to storage architecture, procedures, and configurations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

  • Evaluate and recommend new storage technologies and solutions to enhance system performance, efficiency, and scalability, keeping up to date with emerging trends and vendor offerings.

  • Support security initiatives to protect enterprise storage systems, ensuring compliance with applicable security policies, regulations, and best practices.

 Minimum/Basic Qualifications:

  • Fifteen (15) years' experience in storage operations / storage engineering.

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from an accredited university in a technical field is required. Five (5) additional years of experience in storage operations may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • IAT II level certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days of start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • StorageTek Enterprise Level experience preferred.

  • Knowledge and understanding of protocols, such as S3, CIFS, NFS, ISCSI, and Fiber Channel for Block Storage (SAN).

  • Proficiency with backup platforms, to include Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, Rubrik, and Commvault.

  • Proficiency in Networked Attached Storage (NAS) systems, such as Oracle Solaris Unix, HP Greenlake/VAST, Oracle ZFS, DELL, NETAPP Cluster.

  • Experience connecting storage arrays to Hypervisor Technologies (NUTANIX, VMWARE VCF, OpenStack).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication.

The projected compensation range for this position is $125,500.00-$210,200.00.
