ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Network Administrator to join our team in Doral FL.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Senior Network Administrator leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure across multiple security domains, including classified networks, ensuring high availability and robust security
They possess expert-level knowledge of advanced networking protocols, security best practices, and infrastructure technologies
They manage complex network infrastructure devices, implement and enforce network security policies, configure advanced access control lists (ACL), and leverage software-defined networking (SDN) solutions
They conduct advanced system troubleshooting, implement comprehensive backup and recovery strategies, and ensure the high availability and resilience of critical network services
They lead the development and maintenance of detailed network documentation, provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to Junior and Mid-Level Administrators, and conduct in-depth research on emerging technologies
They contribute to the development and delivery of specialized network security training and awareness programs, promoting a culture of security awareness
The Senior Network Administrator provides direction and mentorship to subordinate staff
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS in field necessary to assume Senior Network Administrator duties or 4 years of additional experiene in lieu of a degree
9+ years of experience 5+ years of position-specific relevant experience.
Deep understanding of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Specialized knowledge in areas like network security, cloud computing, network automation, or specific protocols may be required.
CompTIA Network+ and Security+, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or other vendor-specific certifications.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a network engineering, cybersecurity, or information systems, or a related field. Experience supporting DoD programs and with cloud-based technologies.
Experience with military/diplomatic operations working within a J-6/G-6/S-6 Directorate or with Special Operations Forces (SOF) or the Department of State (DoS), leading and performing cybersecurity risk assessments for and across multiple commands, agencies, and regionally distributed locations in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
ITIL Foundation certificate. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
