MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Logistician to join our Logistics team in Erbil, Iraq. The selected candidate will provide logistics support and oversight to the Supply Support Activity (SSA) in Erbil Iraq on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide leadership and management for all assigned Logistics Analysts and Supply Clerks within the SSA.

  • Support and assist the SSA Supply Supervisor in overseeing the supply chain, including customer distribution, internal assignments, delivery and disposal of HAZMAT, and GCSS-Army operations.

  • Manage warehouse operations efficiently, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and system controls.

  • Serve as a liaison between the organization, customers, and internal teams (e.g., quality and production) to ensure smooth operations and effective information sharing.

  • Assist the SSA Supervisor in ensuring compliance with organizational policies, SSA SOPs, and military/government directives while maintaining accurate, documented records for audit purposes.

  • Provide guidance and direction to Logistics Analysts and Supply Clerks and oversee training and professional development for assigned staff.

  • Assist with reparable exchange, storage, and distribution activities, coordinating with various stakeholders and external vendors (such as the Defense Logistics Agency).

  • Ensure all sensitive and pilferable items are securely stored and protected. Promote a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with safety practices, policies, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Train personnel in warehouse safety, operational procedures, and policies to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Use military logistics automated systems (e.g., GCSS-Army) to monitor, enter, update, correct, and retrieve information related to Supply Support Activity (SSA) transactions.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • 9+ years of experience in a Supply Support Activity (SSA) or warehouse operations role, preferably in a military or government environment, and a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.

  • Able to perform SSA and warehouse logistical functions independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proficient in computer operations and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

  • Familiar with military supply systems (e.g., GCSS-Army).

  • Experience in receipt, accountability, and inventory of equipment and spare parts.

  • Experience in inventory management, requisitioning supplies, and maintaining authorized stock levels of supplies and equipment.

  • Experience in personnel management.

  • Experienced in all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operations related to SSA functions (e.g., forklift operations).

  • Ability to meet government deployment physical requirements; Must hold a current and active passport with a minimum of one year of validity from the start date and be able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; High School Diploma or GED and a valid Driver’s License are required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Military Supply Support Activity operations, as well as automated and manual supply systems and equipment serviceability standards and criteria.

  • Significant prior military experience, or civilian equivalent, aligned with the following specialties:

    • 92A – Automated Logistical Specialist

    • 92Y – Unit Supply Specialist

  • Possession of applicable HAZMAT certifications (e.g., OSHA HAZWOPER 24- or 40-hour, DOT HAZMAT Training, or AFMAN 24-604 certification).

  • Knowledge of the logistics framework that supports the specialized maintenance requirements of TMDE as it involves the SSA.

  • Willingness to travel to various U.S. and OCONUS locations.

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must be a US Citizen with a current/active secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.

  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.

  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard for long periods of time.
