Description & Requirements
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Sr. Engineering Technician, Combat Systems to join our team in Chesapeake, VA, at the Norfolk Naval Base. This is a part-time, remote position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform antenna maintenance training and assessments onboard aircraft carriers in accordance with referenced requirements
Climb ladders, antenna platforms and conduct required testing onboard ship
Document assessment results and provide corrective action recommendations
Provide ship’s force antenna maintenance and preservation training
Travel CONUS 3-5 times a year
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in an industrial trade related to U.S. Navy ships, including:
Planning and estimating cost and manpower requirements for marine industrial production
Managing and controlling funds, project progression, and scheduling
Overseeing and controlling marine industrial production activities
Planning and developing marine industrial production processes, including the implementation and application of management information systems, cost accounting systems, or statistical control systems
8+ years of experience in ship antenna operation, maintenance, preservation, and testing of shipboard Combat Systems equipment and systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in antenna maintenance and operational assessments
Experience with analysis of shipboard Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift and carry 40 lbs
Able to access aircraft carriers, climbing ladders, and ability to be certified for Man Aloft antenna access.
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
