MANTECH is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Senior Business Operations Deputy Program Manager to join our team. This is a remote position, but the candidate should be in proximity to Washington, D.C., Dahlgren, VA, and Patuxent River, MD, to visit customer sites as needed.
As the Senior Business Operations Deputy Program Manager, you will support critical DoD programs in Washington, D.C., Dahlgren, VA, and Patuxent River, MD. You'll assist Business Leaders and Program Managers with daily operations, supervise support staff, and ensure project goals are met. This is an ideal fit for a proactive self-starter with excellent leadership and communication skills who can manage multiple, time-sensitive activities. You'll also be part of a larger business operations team focused on customer relationship management, on-contract growth, and new business development.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Team Leadership & Management: Provide day-to-day management of support operations for multiple projects and teams across various locations.
Direct and supervise designated support resources and ensure proper allocation and scheduling of tasks among personnel.
Provide guidance, support, and leadership to team members, ensuring they are properly prioritizing tasks and responsibilities.
Assist with administrative and functional support for personnel activities, including timekeeping, performance reviews, counseling, and hiring.
Project Execution & Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the government client and supporting personnel for specific subtask areas.
Develop and present formal presentations, executive summaries, and briefings to senior management and key stakeholders.
Prepare and submit regular reports and documentation, including weekly status reports, monthly PMRs, and CDRLs.
Coordinate with Technical Program Leadership to ensure a strong understanding of daily operational activities.
Program & Financial Oversight: Monitor the program to ensure it meets its objectives and adheres to all relevant rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of project plans, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives.
Provide the final quality verification/validation of all deliverables prior to submission.
Ensure compliance with all timelines and deadlines for deliverables and associated subtask completion dates.
Support the Program Manager in defining, tracking, and managing benefits realization.
Business Operations Management: Initiate and maintain customer relationships for both existing and new customer audiences.
Contribute to the development and execution of account plans across customer markets and audiences.
Support business development and capture activities for on-contract growth and new business opportunities to include activities across the entire business acquisition process.
Ability to commute between Washington, DC, Dahlgren, VA, and Patuxent River, MD
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a Technical, Business, Operations, or equivalent field
10+ years of experience related to project or program analysis for DoD contracts
5+ years of experience in tandem with oversight of DoD contracting activities and managing day-to-day operations of multiple teams
Demonstrated experience leading programs of 10 or more professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a technical, business, operations, or equivalent field
DAWIA Program Management Certification
5+ years of supervisory experience in a lead role
Experience with government contracts, including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
Familiarity with DoD 5000 as it applies to Acquisition and Systems Engineering
Experience with core PM tools including Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and ServiceNow or other workflow management systems
Experience relaying technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $137,000.00-$245,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
