Description & Requirements

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Rotary Wing Engineer to join our team in the Lexington Park, MD location. This position is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, or evaluate military weapons systems

  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, and other technical documentation

  • Analyze, design, develop, or evaluate components or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems and associated support systems

  • Develop and edit material for reports, briefs, and related technical publications

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least ten (10) years of professional experience relevant to DoD Technical Engineering Analyses and applicable document preparation and editing

  • MS or MA degree in an Engineering or Engineering discipline

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Rotary Wing Design or Technical Specialist

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD), preferably SolidWorks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS / MA degree in Aerospace Engineering

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines

  • Experience with MATLAB and/or similar tools

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams applications

  • Rotary Wing and Design course completions

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Secret Clearance required

  • U.S. Citizenship required

Physical Requirements:    

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • Move about freely in an office / laboratory setting


The projected compensation range for this position is $110,800.00-$185,500.00.
