ManTech seeks a highly skilled and knowledgeable Release Train Engineer (RTE) that will oversee and facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) activities across multiple Value Streams and ARTs. The RTE will coordinate and align teams, ensure continuous improvement, and help deliver value on-time and within scope.  This position is located on customer site in Washington D.C. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning readiness by fostering the preparation of vision and backlogs, and through pre- and post-PI Planning meetings.  

  • Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART(s) and Solution Train.  

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and team leads to ensure alignment, resolve bottlenecks, and facilitate dependencies between teams. 

  • Conduct retrospectives, gather feedback, and implement changes to improve team effectiveness and quality. 

  • Track and report on program progress, key performance indicators, and delivery timelines to stakeholders.

  • Improve the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps. Facilitates system demos and solution demos.  

  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assesses the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and helps them improve. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline. 

  • 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years as a Release Train Engineer in a large program with multiple ARTs using SAFe, Srum, and Kanban methods. 

  • Possess a SAFe Release Train Engineer certification.  

  • Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA) and using Agile KPIs and metrics. 

 

Security Clearance Requirements: 

  • Current/Active Top Secret Security Clearance 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $105,800.00-$175,900.00.
