MANTECH seeks a highly accomplished, results-driven Reconnaissance Strategy Expert to spearhead the growth of our aviation-focused Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) portfolio Lexington Park, MD. This is a hybrid position requiring at least 3 days per week on-site.
The Reconnaissance Strategy Lead is a central, entrepreneurial role where you will play an important part in aligning MANTECH’s efforts to provide critical Reconnaissance solutions in support of the Navy Mission. You will engage directly with Navy leaders and customers, driving our Reconnaissance capability effort and key initiatives to make a maximum impact by synchronizing Navy and MANTECH vision and strategy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the development and execution of the Navy Reconnaissance and ASW strategy for the Navy Segment, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market trends
Engage directly with Navy leaders to identify their most significant Reconnaissance challenges and align MANTECH efforts to solve them
Lead the entire business development lifecycle, from opportunity identification, qualification, and capture through proposal development and contract award
Develop Navy Reconnaissance Go-to-Market plans
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and key decision-makers within the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) and the ASW community
Provide expert guidance on ASW operational concepts, technologies, and program requirements
Represent MANTECH at customer engagements, industry events, trade shows, and critical ASW conferences
Maintain awareness of evolving ASW technologies, threat environments, and competitive dynamics
Track and develop new initiatives supporting future Navy Reconnaissance requirements
Serve as the program manager responsible for guiding and overseeing the work you produce
Create and deliver briefings and presentations with confidence, leveraging strong public speaking, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse audiences
Apply an entrepreneurial mindset to drive results and adapt effectively within fast-paced, dynamic environments
Travel up to 25% of the time to location that include Crane, IN, Jacksonville, FL and other major fleet locations
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or business-related discipline
15+ years of multi-disciplined Naval Active-Duty experience, with at least 10 years focused on ASW systems and operations
Operational experience on the P-8 Poseidon, or significant operational experience on the P-3C Orion
Experience in the Navy ASW and reconnaissance communities with a strong existing network within the NAE and ASW communities
Experience in business development, capture, or strategic growth roles within the defense sector
Experience in framework and strategic execution of DoD acquisition and procurement policy, particularly those governing NAVAIR's platforms, systems, and related support services
Experience with JADC2, Project Overmatch, and Naval Combat systems
Experience developing and executing strategic plans
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline
Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience supporting P-8 transition, testing, or program initiatives
Experience managing or supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) campaigns for major defense programs
Experience with undersea warfare operations, including submarines and unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs)
Experience with Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) operational gained within a U.S. Navy Fleet Squadron environment
Experience with operating Navy reconnaissance platforms to include signals intelligence and other collection methods
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with team members and stakeholders; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The projected compensation range for this position is $142,100.00-$255,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
