ManTech seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented Radio-Frequency (RF) Engineer to join our team at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field in St. Inigoes, MD. This is an onsite position
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, develop, and integrate complex Combat Identification Systems and software algorithms, including modeling and simulation
Perform RF engineering analysis across DoD/DoN ship and shore-based platforms
Create and update system specifications and assist with system testing, including developing test cases for system key performance parameters (KPP) verification and validation
Support the development and maintenance of test bed and simulation software used for system testing and training
Contribute to development and testing efforts at the customer’s facility and on target platforms
Participate in system review processes for key project milestones
Analyze, prepare, and submit test procedures, test reports, test documents, and requirements documentation necessary for AIMS, FAA, and Spectrum Office certifications for Mode S capable systems
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
2+ years of experience in Combat Identification Systems
Demonstrated background in RF design engineering and digital signal processing (DSP)
Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or a bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to apply and integrate engineering principles in investigating, analyzing, planning, designing, developing, testing, or evaluating military Combat Identification Systems
Experience conducting detailed engineering analyses, including system integration, configuration management, QA testing, or acquisition/resource management
Familiarity with developing and evaluating software, components, or systems related to military C5ISR systems
Background in engineering for military applications with a focus on operational performance
Experience with AEGIS systems
Understanding of NAVAIR Systems Engineering Processes
Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret clearance required
Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
