MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented, Project Operations Manager to join our vehicle sustainment team in Waldmohr, Germany. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program across U.S. European Command (EUCOM) Area of Responsibility. 

*Important Note*: Selected candidates require favorable completion and receipt of Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) from the German Lander. TESA Approval Organization. Any stated date is an approximate projection based upon the eleven (11) week TESA review cycle.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Plans, directs, or coordinates the maintenance operations for assigned technical task or function.

• Formulate maintenance policies, managing daily maintenance operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources.

• Work with functional area leads on the management or administration of personnel.

• Build and maintain relationships with key personnel within the U.S. military in Europe and effectively communicate with across all levels of organization.

• Brief Unit Commanders on the status of the vehicles and parts.

• Develops concepts of support for customer based on theater demands and facilities.

• Use LogMASTRE as required.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of qualified experience and a bachelor’s degree.

  • Must have experience as operations manager within the automotive or defense industry.

• Adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.

• Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics and basic IT skills (databases, MS Office, etc.).

• Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen with a current/active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Operations, Logistics and Maintenance in EUCOM Theater, to include Sustainment Brigade Operations, Theater Sustainment Command, Theater Logistics Support Center – Europe, NATO Logistics, Supply Support Activities, Maintenance Activities, Joint Sustainment, and Host Nation interoperability. 

• Prior training or maintenance experience with one or more of the following: tactical and commercial wheeled vehicles, tracked vehicles, power generators sets or construction equipment.

• Prior training or experience with Global Combat Support System -Army (GCSS-A) logistics management system

• Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.

• Must be able to push, pull, and reach.

• Must be able to work in high noise areas.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.

• Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
