ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Program Director to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
The role of the Program Director – Desktop is to direct, manage, and administer the accomplishment of all aspects of the SOW to ensure completion of all program activities within the established budget and schedule
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide project management for enterprise-level desktop services IT projects in multiple operational and security domains
Responsible for the successful planning, cost, schedule, and technical execution performance of the contract
Ensure tasks are completed within mission constraints, tasking guidance from the customer is clear and unambiguous, sufficient personnel are assigned and qualified to perform the tasks, and potential personnel problems are pre-empted
Consult and coordinate with the customer and the appropriate Task Manager for problem resolution, task scheduling, resource requirements, training needs, and task clarification
Establish and implement streamlined processes and procedures to rapidly respond to surge requirements
Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess desktop computing needs and system requirements
Direct daily operations by analyzing workflows, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines
Review and approve all Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and projects prior to their implementation
Analyze computer and information needs from an operational and strategic perspective and determine immediate and long-range personnel and equipment requirements
Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and project documentation repository throughout all project phases
Translate business needs into technical requirements and explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience as a Program Manager
At least 3 years of recent and relevant experience as a Program Manager managing large (>150 FTE) IT desktop projects supporting the Intelligence Community (IC)
Experience with the management of an IT desktop services within National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix environment
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related technical field (e.g., MBA, PhD)
Other advanced certifications (e.g., ITILv4, PgMP, etc.)
Experience supporting business development and growth initiatives
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active/current TS/SCI w/ polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 25% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
Must be able to travel
