MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Product Management Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will support a program delivering a wide range of enterprise IT services by designing, validating, sustaining, and supporting productive, collaborative computer workspaces—both new and renovated—to meet evolving mission needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Test, validate, and approve hardware for enterprise use, including workstations, laptops, servers, monitors, printers, multifunction peripherals (MFPs), video teleconferencing (VTC), VOIP, AV, and networking equipment.
  • Provide end-to-end engineering support across enterprise technologies, including workstations, networks, AV/VTC, enterprise tools, and ServiceNow-integrated workflows.
  • Interface with vendors as needed to address product concerns, conduct recurring engagements at least monthly, and leverage vendor roadmaps to inform lifecycle planning and replacement strategies.
  • Ensure product supply chain stability by identifying functional replacement solutions when products reach end of life or become unavailable due to shortages.
  • Provide Tier 2 hardware support to Location Support Centers, including technical guidance and training as required.
  • Work as part of a team operating between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, ensuring coverage of an 8-hour shift within these hours.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with 11+ years of experience, or Associate’s Degree with 9+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of workstation, laptop, printer hardware and server hardware, including repair, troubleshooting, operating system installation and maintenance, and driver installation.
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and associated network equipment such as switches and routers.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and optimizing technology lifecycle processes within a large-scale enterprise production IT environment in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of TEMPEST systems and associated requirements.
  • Experience installing and maintaining server-based applications, including Windows Server, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting principles to automate tasks, processes, and workflows.
  • Familiarity with VTC equipment and related video technologies.
  • Understanding of system security accreditation processes and requirements.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and/or Cisco CCNA

Clearance Requirements

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices, position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
  • Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50+ pounds, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts. 
  • Must be able to ascends/descend a ladder, 10+ feet high while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.
  • Capability to operate hand tools and test equipment in a server room environment.
