Description & Requirements
Currently we are seeking an Oracle Engineer who defines and develops enterprise, system architecture solutions resulting from ever-adapting USACE requirements. The Oracle Engineer is responsible for applying Federal and Department of Defense architecture standards. This position will require travel to a USACE location up to 20% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Provides the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required for the development of enterprise technical architecture in concert with Oracle and CIO/G6.
Creates deliverables that help develop target-state guidance (reusable standards, guidelines, individual parts and configurations) for evolving the technical infrastructure across the enterprise, enabling USACE mission execution and delivering targeted mission outcomes.
Defines high-level migration plans to address the gaps between baseline configurations and future states.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of recent design and implementation experience in deep technical disciplines within an Oracle environment
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Information Technology. Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: IT Architecture Level III preferred. CISSP preferred. (ISC)2 Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) preferred. ITIL V3 Foundations preferred.
Experience operating in a team of technical architects.
Experience with Oracle Database 21g and 19c or > along with experience in migration of Oracle Database 11g to Oracle 12c.
Experience creating network design documentation including detailed Visio diagrams.
Experience in Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies such as Oracle SOA suite, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Hyperion EPM, EDQ, ODI and Oracle Identity Management (OID), SSO, and Oracle Access Manager.
Experience in Department of Defense and Army Cybersecurity initiatives with an emphasis on securing the enterprise and Risk Management Framework (RMF) functions.
Experience in virtualized and cloud-based environments, Solaris, Linux, Windows Server 2012, SQL Server 2008 and Apache web servers.
Preferred system knowledge inclusive of experience with IBM DataStage, HP VMware, Citrix XenApp.
Understanding of Department of Defense PKI policy and PKI systems implementation and maintenance.
Thorough understanding of Oracle Database 11g and 12c, Primavera P6 Professional and EPPM, ITIL V3, COBIT 5, software development life cycle, Agile development (SCRUM, adaptive software development, SAFe 4.5), and design thinking methodologies.
Security Clearance Requirements:
US citizenship with an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
