ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network and Computer Systems Administrator to join our team in Belcamp, MD. This is an onsite position.

The Network and Computer Systems Administrator will work in support of the Army for the Network Modernization & Mission Network Technical Service Support program (NetMod). NetMod sets forth the work efforts required to provide product technical support services for systems and equipment being produced, fielded, modified or supported by PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network of the Project Manager (PM) Tactical Network (TN) of the Program Executive Office for Command Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T). This support may also include future systems and equipment that is acquired for the Army to maintain its technological advantage.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Must be capable of managing the servers, which typically involves installing and upgrading the servers, as well as solving any kind of problems with the systems
  • Must provide the essential software support for the laptops, desktop personal computers, and printers, including the configuration of the hardware devices, testing new software and designing the structure of the network
  • Must be capable of monitoring the system configuration, including the server event log.
  • Must be capable of testing the operating system software, the networking software and also the computer hardware
  • Must be capable of monitoring and developing the procedures for backups of the servers
  • Support network security by managing user permissions and implementing protective measures against cyber threats. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of relevant experience as a Network or Computer Systems Administrator.
  • 5+ years in the Department of Defense supporting network administration or related duties.   
  • Familiarity with network hardware like routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. 
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or system administration of Unix or Windows networks/systems
  • Experience monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving issues, performing routine maintenance tasks on network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls. 
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and hardware failures. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing regular data backups and ensuring the ability to recover critical systems in case of emergencies.  
  • Experience assessing network needs and planning for future infrastructure upgrades. 
  • Expertise in network management tools, security software, and configuration management systems. 

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. 
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $126,300.00-$210,300.00.
