ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer III to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.

The Network Engineer III will lead the planning, design, and maintenance of connectivity for enterprise network assets to ensure compliance and secure operations on both unclassified and classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS).
They will collaborate with stakeholders to address connectivity requirements and implement necessary configurations to facilitate efficient and secure data transmission, ensuring that all network switches and routers are operational, properly configured, and compliant with customer security requirements (such as DISA STIG). Regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of network switches will be their responsibility to ensure optimal performance.
They will configure, maintain, and monitor firewall, intrusion protection, and intrusion detection systems for network access control and authentication in accordance with ATO requirements, cybersecurity policies, and standards.
The Network Engineer III will implement necessary security measures to protect specialized systems and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats and will support the planning and implementation of enterprise service connections among networks, systems, and applications across domains.
They will facilitate connections for auditing, authentication, secure cloud computing architecture (SCCA), and Cross-Domain Solutions and Guards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Collaboration with ISSOs and the Cyber Services Lead IV in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process will be part of their responsibilities.
They will work with other team members/teams to determine root causes and develop reports for stakeholder consumption.
Additionally, they will mentor/train junior staff in methods and processes for effective resolution, tuning and system optimization, alert definitions, appropriate actions, and other routine Engineering activities.
The Network Engineer III will have extensive experience in managing classified enterprise networks.
They will supervise and mentor subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff members.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of position-specific relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline.
DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant industry standard certifications such as Comptia Network+, Cisco/Juniper, or AWS Advanced Networking.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and/or maintain a Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
