ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer I to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.
As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter’s effectiveness. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity
Troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues, keeping our systems running smoothly
Monitor network performance, ensuring maximum availability and reliability for our users
Collaborate with a talented team to implement innovative network solutions
Provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networks
Plans, designs, installs, maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, modifies, and supports network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
1+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar role
Basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Familiarity with network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls
Experience in multi-level security networks including cross-domain solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+
Experience with network monitoring tools to keep a pulse on performance
Knowledge of wireless networking to support modern connectivity needs
Strong problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to thrive in a collaborative environment
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active TS/SCI Clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
