ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Deployment Engineer in Camp Springs, MD.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide computer/storage deployment services at multiple sites; follow established processes to deploy system infrastructure/commodities to physical servers, hyper/converged services, virtual storage platforms, wireless and mobile network kits with multi-disciplined technologies.
  • Work with enterprise operations, field server support, and the Server Deployment Team to support the virtualization environment from design to implementation, and through its lifecycle. Monitor the virtualized platform using SCVMM, Failover Cluster Manager (Hyper-V), and vCenter (VMware), and by using monitoring tools such as New Relic and SCOM. Use System Center Operations Manager, New Relic, Splunk, System Center Virtual Machine Manager, and VMW tools to troubleshoot virtual machine issues, including performance issues.
  • Support the physical installation and setup of network and power infrastructure, including basic racking, cabling, and configuration of equipment such as servers, switches, routers, UPS units, and related hardware at data centers and field locations.
  • Use SCCM to provide secondary software packages, including security services, database services, HTTPS, operating systems, predefined packages, and group policy objects.
  • Support the customer's future vision such as server/serverless, container services, storage and platform and provide budgetary information.
  • Design, deploy, configure and administer complex network environments across multiple geographic locations. Work in a team with standardized solutions based on Cisco wired and wireless network equipment around the country and sometimes internationally.  Configure Cisco devices running both Cisco IOS and Nexus IOS in support of complex network deployments.
  • Use tools such as SCOM, Splunk, and OCUM to monitor application stability, security, performance, and capacity. Document design changes to the environment in Runbooks and submit it to the Operations Teams for ongoing support.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five (5) + years of experience in Network or Server Deployment.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
  • CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+.
  • Familiar with tools including: ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira, Confluence.
  • Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps, and Agile concepts.
  • Experience with Ansible for Automation and Configuration Management.
  • Familiarity with DNAC management (Cisco Digital Network Architecture Center), Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), network security principles and best practices, SD-WAN technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
     

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability Clearance prior to starting this position.
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs to at least waist height for equipment installation and setup


The projected compensation range for this position is $102,200.00-$169,500.00.
